The Drain

This is a piece which aims at criticising the way Man manages the distribution of the natural resources of our planet.

At a time when most of the political decisions are applied on a global scale, this piece aims to call attention to the issue of exploitation and abuse carried out by Western countries on those of the Third World, pointing out the way in which these resources are nowadays exploited, distributed and who its main beneficiaries are.

The piece consists of an empty diesel petrol pump to which are connected several full blood bags containing oil.

Each bag has the flag of one of the eight countries that form the exclusive group of the major industrialised and economically developed countries in the world – the “Group of Eight”, better known as G8.
